We collect as little about you as we can. This page explains what we do collect on the website, when you buy, and in the Comba Sampler, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who is responsible

Comba Music LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company is responsible for your personal data.
Address: 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA
Email: contact@combamusic.com

Visiting the website

You do not need an account, and the website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and runs no analytics. To show you the pages, our hosting provider, Vercel, handles technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open. This is used to deliver the website and keep it secure, and is kept only for a short time.

Buying a product

Purchases are handled by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the details it needs to take your payment, such as your name, email address, country and payment details, under its own privacy policy. We never see your full card details.

Paddle shares with us your name, email address, country and what you bought. We use this to deliver your product, give you your licence, help you with problems and meet our tax and accounting duties.

Your licence

Licences are managed by our licence provider, Inlay. When you sign in from the Comba Sampler, you do so in your browser with the email address you bought with. Inlay keeps a record of the products you own and the computers you have activated, so it can unlock your products and enforce the number of computers allowed.

The Comba Sampler

  • The Sampler checks combamusic.com for updates and new content. Like any web request, this shares your IP address with our host.
  • It keeps a log on your own computer to help solve problems. We only see it if you choose to send it to us.
  • It contains no advertising and no usage tracking.

When you contact us

If you write to us by email or with the form on our support page, for support or about releasing a product, we use your name, email address and what you tell us only to answer you. Messages from the form reach us by email.

Why we are allowed to use your data

  • to deliver what you bought and support you: this is needed for our contract with you;
  • to keep records for tax and accounting: the law requires it;
  • to keep the website and our services secure and working: this is in our legitimate interest.

Who we share it with

Only with the providers named above (Vercel, Paddle and Inlay) and with advisers such as our accountant where needed. We never sell your personal data. Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep order and licence records for as long as you own the product and as long as tax law requires. We keep emails for as long as we need them to help you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can ask for it in a portable form. Email us at contact@combamusic.com. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you live in California, you have the right to know, delete and correct your data, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.

Children

Our products are not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
