A qanun in a lantern-lit courtyard with arches and lemon trees

For the Comba Sampler

Qanun

A 78-string plucked zither, sampled bright and warm.

Buy, $79.99How buying works

Plays in the free Comba Sampler on Mac and Windows, as VST3 and AU.

The qanun seen close, mother-of-pearl inlay and the tuning levers along the bridge

The qanun is played with plectra on two fingers, and its character changes completely with the angle of attack. Two full sample sets, bright and warm, give you both with no need for an equaliser, and the glissando articulation runs the full sweep across the strings.

Qanun loaded in the Comba Sampler, showing its articulations and the keyswitch range on the keyboard
